It's that simple. You are not a "multitasking ninja" or "guru." Who uses those words in everyday life? 👀
Imagine meeting someone and saying, "Hi, I am a multitasking NINJA." Unless you can slice a flying watermelon with a katana, it will make any conversation awkward.
Instead, express yourself as you would with friends or family. This makes your writing appear more honest and relatable.
But what if you run a business? Does the same principle apply to your brand?
✅ The short answer is yes. People relate to people, not to blunt corporate statements.
If you want your brand to thrive online, develop a brand personality.
Use humor, express emotions, take social actions, share political views, or even playfully mock others, including other brands.
However, your brand's personality should grow within your business context. Every trait should strategically create and sustain an image that serves your business objectives.
In short:
👉 Personal branding means being yourself.
👉 Business branding means behaving like a human your customers can trust.
